Novel applications of pipeline installation for product delivery include the use of spooled steel pipe with internal and external coatings. Longbore has used this technique to install 1500 feet of 3.5-inch diameter line to connect natural gas well heads to a pipeline distribution network. The drilling, pullback and hook-up of the line was completed within 2-1/2 days.
