Blind wells are commonly installed in areas where site access for an exit hole is unavailable. Typically blind wells are installed under chemical manufacturing facilities, airports, pond/lagoons and in highly urbanized areas. Blind well advantages include:

  • Less materials required
  • No exit hole location needed
  • A surface casing can be cemented through the curve section
  • Wells can be drilled from offsite areas without creating any structural surface impact
  • No requirement for pipe on the exit
  • Reduced hazards from elimination of pipe at the exit

  • Screen section: 600'
  • Total horizontal displacement: 875’
  • Entry angle: 12º
  • Curve radius: 600'
  • Step off distance: 275'
