Longbore Inc. installed thirty blind wells and two continuous well at an active chemical plant. The vertical depths of the wells ranged from 25 ft. to over 55 ft. with well lengths of up to 1,102 ft. The subsurface consisted of clay, fill materials and silt/clay. Well development consisted of fresh water washing, chemical treatment and overpumping. The wells were installed at an active chemical plant around and directly under process units and cooling water canals. Well materials consist of 4-inch I.D., pipe-based, pre-packed, wire wrapped stainless steel screen with a 6-inch stainless steel riser casing. Longbore also installed two 8-inch diameter HDPE casings under a road for electrical conduit and recovered groundwater piping.
