Number of Wells: 1
Well Type: Blind
True Vertical Depth: 19’
Screen Length: 650’
Total Well Length: 830’

This soil vapor extraction well was completed in a blind borehole at an abandoned refinery site. The site geology consisted of gravel and sand with minor amounts of fine sand. Well materials consisted of 6” diameter, slotted steel screen with 6” steel riser casing. Ten-inch diameter HDPE was used as surface casing from the entry point to a measured depth of 141’. The well was drilled using both bentonite and bio-polymer based drilling fluids. Development procedures included chemical and physical treatment methods. At the time of installation, the well was believed to be the longest soil vapor extraction well completed in a blind borehole. The well is currently in use and is producing 1,200 scfm.
